Fixture

This morning the Dale faced Caerphilly at the Centre of Excellence, Dale won the toss and we saw a great switch move between Max Rossiter, Jordan Way and William Morgan, William put his head down showed great determination, he passed to Zac Tucker who used his pace to find the tryline 1-0.   Caerphilly restarted two great tackles were put in by William Davey and Jordan Way causing a loose ball which was picked up by William Davey, he had an excellent run but was tackled into touch just short of the try line. Strong Dale defence caused knock on giving them a scrum and another good run by William Davey. Possession passed back and forth before William Morgan left the defence to score, 2-0.
Zac Tucker made some great tackles causing a knock-on scrum to Dale, unfortunately a knock on gave possession back to Caerphilly and they scored 2-1.  Dale started with another good run by William Davey unfortunately he found touch. Caerphilly took the ball  Jordan Way drove Caerphilly back and forced a knock on before the whistle.

First third Oakdale 2 - Caerphilly 1

Caerphilly start the second half Jordan Way and Zac Tucker made some great tackles causing Caerphilly to knock on,  there seemed to be a few knock on's with possession passing back and fore before Caerphilly scored, 2-2.  Dale restart, the knock-on gave Caerphilly the scrum James Williams bundled Caerphilly into touch on the try line. James Williams took the ball and had an excellent run up the pitch,  he passed to Oliver Cooke who continued with determination but was forced into touch. Jordan Way, William Morgans and Zac Tucker made more tackles before Caerphilly score, 2-3.  Max Rossiter restarted and had a great run and pasted to Zac Tucker, unfortunately he was tackled into touch, Caerphilly used the ball to score, 2-4.  William Morgan restarted with a great run, continuing to hop along with a player on his leg, he passed to Max Rossiter, onto Zac Tucker and then William Davey who was just short of the try line, Caerphilly took the ball and with a quick run scored, 2-5

Second third Oakdale 2 - Caerphilly 5

They only started again and Selectica and James Williams had a good run possession

Dale start the last third, Zac Tucker passed to James Williams who had a great run, he almost made it to the try line unfortunately found touch, Caerphilly took the ball, William Morgan came in and tackle them into touch.  Dale took the ball and passed across the line, unfortunately the ball was dropped, Caerphilly picked it up to score, 2-6.  Unfortunately dealing with an injury I missed the next phase of play with resulted in Caerphilly scoring, 2-7.  James Williams had another great run, he passed to Dafydd Price who saw a gap and darted through it to score, 3-7.

Coaches Comments - The boys are continuing to improve with tackling a key area, some work to be done on passing. Cannot fault the boys commitment.
