To begin British Summer Time (and Mothers Day) the Sevens dragged their Mums down to Bargoed on Sunday for what was supposed to be a match played on the 3G pitch there. When we turned up we found out that the pitch had been doubled booked and the football side had got there first. We trapesed down the fields then to find out where we were going to play and found it to be a trifle muddy. When we eventually found their coaches they told us we would be playing on grass, not great for those who didnt bring their boots. The players did extremely well and tried to implement the things that they were learning in training and ended up playing over 40 minutes of rugby. Because both coaches had to referee we had to ask our support team, Gareth and Leighton to lead the charges so we lost count of the tries that were scored on the day. In the end rugby was the winner and everyone had a great time. PLAYER OF THE MATCH - JOSH JOHNSON
