Fixture

With a return to Bargoed, Oakdale were optimisitic in repeating another match with a win but Bargoed had other ideas. With some exclleant passing by the hosts they went into a 2-0 lead and never looked like surrending the lead. We had some notable runs from Joe and Gethin and some excellent tagging by Jacob, Brayley and Will we managed to stay in touch with Bargoed with a try just before half time from Rhys. The second half started in the same context as the 1st with Bargoed throwing the ball about with confidence but Oakdale still managed to score a few more tries to finish the game with 3 tries. Unfortunately the better team won on the day and ran out 6-3 winners.

Next up for Oakdale were a team we played against many a time in New Tredegar. We took on board lessons from the first game and tried admirably to pass the ball about and look for space which came to fruition after 30 seconds when Gethin ran staright through for the opening try. After some good defence from Joseph, Ruben and Pacey, Oakdale started to run away with the game with a few more from Gethin, one from Ollie and Rhys and couple from Joe to finish the game win a 10-2 victory.
