Fixture

The first game of the morning was against Cwmbran, the hosts won the toss and started the game.  The Dale defence are up and at them, after a few tackles William Davey lands a player in touch.  Possession passes to the Dale, James Williams has an excellent run weaving through the defence, Thomas Gregory is in support and he passes on to William Davey to cross the try line and open the scoring. 0-1.  Cwmbran restart and we show some great defence with excellent tackles from Zac Tucker and William Morgan, a knock-on gives the scrum to the Dale, the ball is fed out to Thomas Gregory who passes to William Morgan, William pumps his legs and drags a player with him to the try line, 0-2.  Cwmbran restart tackles from from William Morgan, William Davey and Gabriel Jones causes a knock on, the ball is passed to Thomas Gregory who has an excellent length of the pitch run to score, 0-3.  In the next phase of play Thomas Gregory tackles a player and pounces on the loose ball, he has a run before passing to James Williams onto Dafydd Price and then to Oliver Cooke who is tackled into touch just short of the try line.  The hosts were unable to use the possession with another loose ball being picked up, Jordan Way tried to push his way through the defence he passes to William Morgan who crosses the try line, 0-4.

Half Time Cwmbran 0 - Oakdale 4

The Dale start the second half, Jordan Way has a brilliant run and passes on to James Williams who ploughs his way to the try line to score, 0-5.   The Dale defence are very strong this morning with Jordan Way tackling them into touch. The Dale take the ball, Gabriel Jones offloads to Connor Thomas, a penalty is given against the Dale for a handoff.  It is not long before the Dale are back in possession with Max Rossiter pouncing on a loose ball, William Davey has a run and then Jordan Way tries to force his way through but is held up on the try line, Cwmbran ball.  Zac Tucker comes in for two great tackles before Jordan Way takes them into touch. Oliver Cooke has a good run before passing out but a knock-on gives a scrum to the hosts.  Zac Tucker and Gabriel Jones once again put in some great tackles, James Williams picks up the loose ball and passes out to Gabriel Jones to take the final try of the game, 0-6.

The second game of the morning is against Croesyceiliog.   Croesyceiliog win the toss and start the game and are approaching the try line when Thomas Gregory catches an interception, unfortunately the Dale aren't able to use the possession with a forward pass giving a scrum  to Croesyceiliog.  Croesyceiliog keep up the pressure on Oakdale and despite tackles going in from all of the team they score, 1-0.  Oakdale restart and there's great passing through the team with James Williams passing to Thomas Gregory, onto Dafydd Price and then Zac Tucker, a knock-on gives the scrum to Croesyceiliog but in short space of time another knock-on gives the scrum back to the Dale.  Oliver Cooke has a very determined run before passing to William Davey who has his sights on the corner flag to score, 1-1.  Thomas Gregory puts in a tackle which causes Croesyceiliog to drop the ball, he claims it passes to William Morgan to power through the defence to score, 1-2.   Croesyceiliog restart Max Rossiter quickly scoops up a loose ball, it is passed through the team and Zac Tucker almost finds the try line, the ball is knocked out of his hands and  is picked up by Oliver Cooke who crosses the line to score, 1-3.

Half Time Croesyceiliog 1- Oakdale 3

Dale start the second half of the game Max Rossiter pushes through the defence but a knock-on gives the scrum to Croesyceiliog the ball goes loose and is claimed by Thomas Gregory, he passes to Gabriel Jones who makes good ground and passes back to Max Rossiter to power through and score, 1-4.  Croesyceiliog  restart and again the ball is loose, it is claimed by the Dale, Zac Tucker passes to Max Rossiter and on to William Morgan to score the try, 1-5.  Croesyceiliog drop the ball on the restart and it is claimed by Zac Tucker, he passes to James Williams and on to Connor Thomas who is unlucky to find touch.  The possession is short lived and Thomas Gregory intercepts the ball the Dale keep the pressure on going through lots of phases of play to see Dafydd Price find the try line, 1-6.  The Dale are showing very strong defence as Thomas Gregory tackles Croesyceiliog into touch, William Davey has a run and offloads, an excellent pick up by Connor Thomas he makes more ground before he passes to Thomas Gregory, he is tackled and we are out of time, the final whistle is blown.
