U9's Draw against Rhymney at the Rec

This morning the Dale host Rhymney.  The visitors win the toss and start the game, there are some excellent tackling by the Dale which causes a knock on and scrum to the Dale.  William Morgan has two good runs before Thomas Gregory takes the ball across is the try line, 1-0.  Rhymney restarts, William Morgan comes in for the tackle and takes them into touch.  Max Rossiter has a good run and passes to William Davey to gain some more ground, unfortunately a loose ball is picked up by Rhymney.  The Dale hold Rhymney on the try line for quite a few phrases, Dylan Caddy shows his development coming in with a great tackle before they finally cross in the corner, 1-1.  James Williams restarts with a great run he passes to Thomas Gregory but the ball goes loose it is reclaimed by James Williams and is passed to Max Rossiter he pumps his legs and reaches out for the try-line to claim the try, 2-1. Rhymney restart and are quickly taken into touch, possession soon passes back with Rhymney picking up a loose ball, the Dale are defending well with William Morgan, Max Rossiter and Thomas Gregory all going in for a repeat tackles it wasn't quite enough and Rhymney equalise, 2-2.

First Third Oakdale 2- Rhymney 2

Dale start the second third, James Williams has a good run and passes to Dafydd Price, he passes out and a knock on gives the scrum to Rhymney.  Rhymney were unable able to use the possession and Thomas Gregory tackles them into touch. William Morgan has a great run, he passes to James Williams and onto Thomas Gregory to secure the try 3-2.  Rhymney restart, they are tackled causing a knock on and scrum to the Dale.  The ball came out of the scrum and went loose, it was picked up by Rhymney, they were unable to keep the possession with another loose ball being picked up by William Morgan he was up and running and gained some good ground before he was tackled, the ball went loose and was picked up by Rhymney and they used this to score, 3-3.  The Dale restarted Connor Thomas had a good run and offloaded well before being tackled, possession passed back and fore, resulting with a scrum to the Dale. The ball is passed to Thomas Gregory he has an excellent run to take us near the try line, Rhymney defended, William Morgan and Thomas Gregory couldn't quite get through the defence, Max Rossiter finally plough through the defence to score, 4-3.

Second Third Oakdale 4 - Rhymney 3.

Rhymney started the last third of the game. William Davey went in for the tackle he was very persistent and held on to the player until he went to ground, Max Rossiter, Thomas Gregory and William Morgan put in some great tackles before Rhymney scored. 4-4. Dale restarted the ball passed through the team, Kian Godwin made some ground for the Dale, the ball ended up with William Davey who found a gap and went over in the corner, 5-4.  Rhymney restarted the game, Thomas Gregory showed great defending going in for four tackles in a row, good defence from all the team forcing Rhymney through many phases before they scored, 5-5.  The Dale restarted Dafydd Price had a good run and offload well, followed by William Morgan and Thomas Gregory, the ball is back with Dafydd Price, Rhymney intercept the ball Oliver Cooke tackles and caused a knock-on, scrum to the Dale, the ball is dropped and picked up by Rhymney, Thomas Gregory comes in and tackles them into touch on the final whistle.
