Fixture

The second game of the morning is against near neighbours Newbridge and after a few packets of Jaffa Cakes the boys are up for this game with their schoolmate Logan playing for the opposition.  The Dale start the game and the ball is fed through the team to Thomas Gregory who opens the scoring 1-0.
Newbridge restart and Oliver Cooke drives a player back, a few more tackles are made by the Dale before the game is stopped for an injured Newbridge player. Due to Newbridge having no subs we were now down to playing 8 aside.  Newbridge restart and break the Dale defence to equalise, 1-1.  The Dale showed great teamwork this morning William Morgan gets the ball and pumps his legs dragging players to the try line with him to score, 2-1.
Newbridge try their hardest to equalise before the half-time whistle, the Dale defence are strong putting in lots of tackles.  Gabriel Jones picks up a loose ball and passes to Max Rossiter but ends up in touch as the half-time whistle is blown.

Newbridge restart the second half Jordan Way and William Morgan put in some great tackles and a knock on by Newbridge gives a scrum to the Dale, Oliver Cooke passes to Thomas Gregory who has an excellent run to score in the corner 3-1.
Newbridge restarts and Jordan Way puts in a thumping tackle, the Newbridge player kicks out and the Dale are awarded a penalty. Possession passes back and forth with a few knock ons and a few more thundering tackles by Jordan Way and the ball finally lands with the Dale; the ball is fed to William Morgan who has one of his determined runs to score 4-1.

Newbridge restart William Morgan and Thomas Gregory put in some great tackles before they score 4-2.
William Davey takes the ball from the restart and he has a great run and almost reaches the try line but is caught short with a good try saving tackle; he passes to Thomas Gregory who crosses the whitewash 5-2.
Newbridge storm towards the try line but William Morgan tackles them into touch. Thomas Gregory passes to Max Rossiter and onto Connor Thomas; Connor has a run and offloads but a knock-on awards a scrum to Newbridge. Another big tackle by bruiser Way results in another Newbridge player being injured and we are now down to playing 7 aside.  Newbridge are unable to use the possession gained and the ball passes back to the Dale and William Morgan crosses the line for the last try of the morning 6-2.

Coaches comments - Another great morning of rugby with the boys showing great patience by going through lots of phases, the off loads and tackles were a pleasure to see. Very Happy Coaches!
